A little about me. I’m in my mid twenties, live with my parents, don’t have a “real job.” I used to have one, and my own apartment too, I’m trying really hard not to be bitter about not having these things anymore.
One of the ways that I do that is by losing myself in worlds that are not my own, usually fictional ones, often with supernatural elements, although not always, sometimes there are just love triangles. This kind of intense obsession has a name, thanks to Generation Y’s obsessive need to name everything, or at least my interpretation of it has a name, and that name is fangirling.
You can fangirl over everything, and I do. I fangirl over books, movies, mostly TV shows, Broadway musicals, certain celebrities and even food.
You don’t even have to be female to be a fangirl. You just have to get really excited over inane details of something. If you’d like a snapshot of what I’m like, here’s a picture of me in a poodle skirt with The Batmobile:
